DocAttic grew out of the same rescue mission as EmailAttic: a lifetime of a family's paperwork — scans, PDFs, receipts, statements and records — scattered across drives, Downloads folders and overlapping backup exports, the same files copied over and over until nobody could tell the keeper from the clutter. Ordinary tools left it in a hundred folders; nothing pulled it into one place you could actually trust.
DocAttic is the tool that fixed it — content de-duplication so identical files are stored once no matter their name or folder, and simple filing by year — rebuilt so anyone can do it in an afternoon.
